Local MP Jeremy Browne declared the Help for Heros open day at Sampford Arundell a 'community success' after dropping in to show his support recently. He said;
"Help for Heros is a high profile charity in Taunton Deane. It is especially significant because our area is home to 40 Commando.
"In recent weeks the fighting in Afghanistan has intensified, so 40 Commando are at the forefront of everyone's minds. We all admire the dedication and professionalism they show in fighting for our country, so events like the open day allow us to express our support and raise funds for their welfare.
"It was great to see the generosity of people in Sampford Arundell and I was delighted to attend."
