Jeremy Browne meets flood devastated North Curry family

Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne has toured the flood devastated Somerset Levels. He met with a local family, the Madge family, who have been evacuated from their home in North Curry. He also met with local businesses and volunteers who have been helping the community to cope with the consequences of the flooding.

Jeremy said,

“I feel enormous sympathy for the Madge family who have had to move out of their home. Their home has been ruined and their business has also been devastated. They are now staying at the Premier Inn at Ruishton after being evacuated. It will be many months before they can go back home.

“I also met with businesses and community volunteers in North Curry, Stoke St Gregory and Burrowbridge. I will continue to liaise with Government Ministers and the Environment Agency to try and help Taunton Deane’s flood victims.”
